Terms & Conditions

JASMINKA Make-up Artist · Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to make-up and hairstyling services provided by Jasmin Meier, trading as JASMINKA Make-up Artist, insofar as their application was agreed before the contract was concluded. They cover private styling appointments, weddings, as well as photo, film, editorial, production and group assignments.

Contact: Jasmin Meier, Billrothstraße 56/11, 1190 Vienna, Austria · jasmin@jasminka.at · +43 664 144 84 63.

Individually agreed arrangements take precedence over these terms. Mandatory statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.

2. Enquiry and booking

An initial price indication or estimate is non-binding and does not yet reserve an appointment. The specific booking documents set out in particular the service, date, time, location, total price and the payment and cancellation terms.

For private bookings made well in advance, the appointment is offered until the stated payment deadline, where the booking documents provide for this. The booking is concluded upon timely receipt of the agreed deposit, provided the documents sent beforehand expressly specify this form of acceptance. JASMINKA confirms receipt and the fixed booking.

For short-notice individual appointments, price, date and terms are sent together. The booking is made by the client's express acceptance within the stated validity period. JASMINKA then confirms the appointment.

Different procedures, particularly for business clients, are agreed on a case-by-case basis. The mere publication of these terms on the website does not replace their agreement.

3. Services, prices and additional costs

The agreed scope of services is decisive. Prices for private clients are final prices including any applicable VAT. The relevant tax notice is stated in the quote or invoice.

Travel, parking fees, travel and accommodation costs, additional persons, additional services or extended attendance are only charged if agreed in advance or subsequently expressly commissioned. Changes to scope and price are agreed before the service is performed.

4. Deposit and balance payment

For private bookings made well in advance, the agreed deposit is generally 30 % of the total price. Payment deadline, bank details and balance payment are communicated with the booking documents. Short-notice individual appointments are generally booked without a deposit.

The deposit is credited in full against the total price. It is not an additional fee and is not automatically forfeited. In the event of a cancellation, it is offset against any amount actually owed; any remaining credit is refunded. For business clients, the individually agreed payment terms apply.

5. Cancellation of individual styling appointments

For individual make-up, hairstyling, ball and evening styling appointments, the following rule applies even if the booking was made well in advance:

  • Cancellation up to 24 hours before the agreed start time is free of charge.
  • For cancellation less than 24 hours before the start time or in the event of a no-show, the base amount is 100 % of the agreed styling fee.

The deductions and limitations under section 7 as well as statutory withdrawal rights also apply here.

6. Cancellation of weddings and larger assignments

For wedding bookings as well as larger production and group assignments, the following scale only applies if the specific booking is expressly assigned to this category in the booking documents and the scale was agreed before the contract was concluded. For individual appointments not expressly assigned, section 5 applies.

Cancellation received before the agreed start timeBase amount as a percentage of the agreed styling fee
More than 60 days30 %
30 to 60 days inclusive50 %
14 to less than 30 days75 %
Less than 14 days or no-show100 %

One day equals 24 hours, counted backwards from the agreed start time. The rule under section 7 forms part of every tier. Services already fully rendered and agreed separately, such as a trial session, are invoiced separately and not included again in the cancellation basis.

7. Calculation and notice of cancellation

The percentages stated are upper limits. The claim is limited to the loss legally owed. Saved expenses are taken into account, as well as income from other use of the freed-up time and earnings intentionally forgone. There is no double charging. Proof of a lower loss or no loss remains possible.

Travel not incurred and other saved costs are not charged. Third-party costs already incurred, expressly approved in advance and non-refundable are only taken into account to the extent a statutory claim exists; they are not charged twice.

Cancellations may be communicated in particular by email or via the messaging channel used for the booking. A message in text form is recommended for documentation; other permissible forms of declaration are not excluded. For contractual cancellation periods, the time the cancellation is received counts. For a statutory withdrawal, the statutory deadlines and receipt rules apply.

8. Rescheduling and late arrival

Rescheduling is agreed jointly, subject to availability. A request to reschedule is not in itself a cancellation and does not change the existing appointment. If rescheduling is not possible, it will be clarified whether the original appointment is kept or cancelled.

If a delay is foreseeable, please send a message promptly. Scope and remaining time are agreed jointly. Additional services or extra time are only charged by prior agreement. Late arrival does not entail a blanket loss of all claims.

9. Performance and skin compatibility

Services are performed professionally and in line with what has been agreed. Known allergies, intolerances and skin or scalp conditions relevant to the styling should be disclosed in advance. Where health risks are apparent, the next steps are agreed jointly. Statutory liability and warranty rights remain unaffected.

10. Cancellation by JASMINKA

If JASMINKA is unable to carry out the agreed appointment, the client will be informed without delay. A replacement appointment or another artist will only be arranged with the client's consent. If no alternative is agreed, payments for services not rendered will be refunded. Further statutory claims remain unaffected.

11. Statutory right of withdrawal for private bookings

For distance contracts and off-premises contracts, a statutory right of withdrawal may exist. It takes precedence over the contractual cancellation rules. A deposit or a short-notice appointment does not automatically remove it. Business clients have no consumer right of withdrawal under the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG).

Where a right of withdrawal exists, the withdrawal information and the statutory model withdrawal form are provided before booking and transmitted on a durable medium to the extent required. If the service is to begin within the withdrawal period, the express request required for this is obtained separately. For paid services, the right expires after full performance only under the statutory conditions.

12. Photos and data protection

Publication of client photos for portfolio, website or social media is not automatically part of a styling booking. Any required consents and image rights are clarified separately.

Information on the processing of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy.

13. Applicable law

Austrian law applies. For consumers, mandatory protective provisions, in particular those of any relevant country of habitual residence, and statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.

Information concerning the right of withdrawal

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Jasmin Meier, JASMINKA Make-up Artist, Billrothstraße 56/11, 1190 Vienna, Austria, telephone: +43 664 144 84 63, email: jasmin@jasminka.at) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested the performance of services to begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Additional information about starting services early

If your booked service is to begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, we will ask for your express request to do so. For a paid service, your right of withdrawal expires upon full performance only if performance began with your prior express consent and you acknowledged before performance began that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the contract had been fully performed. An advance payment alone does not replace these declarations.

Statutory withdrawal and contractual appointment cancellation are different. Contractual cancellation charges do not apply when a statutory right of withdrawal is validly exercised; any legally permissible proportionate payment for services already provided remains unaffected.
